Strawberry-Rhubarb Basil Bellini

bellini_insta

Was inspired and decided to make some pretty spring inspired drinks this sunday. What I really mean is that I had the day off and bought new flute glasses that needed christening. I followed this recipe for these strawberry-rhubarb & basil bellini’s. I didn’t puree the mix enough and probably should have added more rhubarb but in the end I had sparkling wine and saw the sun so in my mind I was a winner.  Getting my cocktail game on this spring/summer. Be prepared.

Spring 2015….

COOL_INSTA blog_01 blog_02 blog_03

It’s not an original thought to think Spring has some sort of magical quality to it.
It almost feels like New Years in a “New Season, New Me!” sort of way. It’s also typical of me to spend my last $20 on fresh flowers and gallop around singing songs in public with a little skip. I probably do all of that on a regular day but March (one of my most hated months) has proven to be a sign for new opportunities & experiences.

I’m set to Production Design 2 short films this year which is both insane and amazing.

Currently listening to a lot of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and day-dreaming about buying a new coffee table (because that’s what all 24 year olds do, right?).

Bye xxxxx

Lulu DK Tattoo Review

luludk_01 luludk_02 luludk_03 luludk_05 luludk_06 luludk_07 luludk_08 luludk_09

Was lucky enough to try out these gold temporary tattoo’s from Lulu dk. Let’s start by saying that there is no more appropriate place than the beach to sport these things.  I can’t imagine wearing them in the dead of winter. I’ve also been lucky enough to have escaped (THERE SHE GOES AGAIN) to Florida this week to break up the -20 blues. I can not afford rent this month yet find it completely suitable to spend $600 on a trip. Super responsible. Regardless, I give these tattoo’s an A+. They were easy to put on, probably going to be a hassle taking off but despite this they are 100% photographic & durable. Already took a shower and was shocked to see them looking better than when I first applied them.
My advice: apply these suckers at the beginning of your next vacation to tell everyone else how much of a badass gypsy free-spirit you are. They will last for 5 days and may leave some beautiful tan lines behind. Will use again!
